A lot of people feel that they are unable to cope with the reality of life. They pack up their troubles and hide it away.

I wonder if this constitutes self-deception. It’s like the show “The Matrix”. You have to ask yourself this question - did the human beings get themselves into their own pile of shit? Sometimes, due to the way our human race has “evolved” we find the greatest triumph only when we face the greatest adversity.

I suppose everyone thinks differently about challenges, but I do know one thing - that no matter what we do or what happens, our ability to deceive ourselves seems to come naturally, but our ability to be truthful to ourselves isn’t.

Why do we hide, and is this what humanity is meant to be?

Perhaps time wil tell, but there’s a lot more behind our masks than we give ourselves credit for. Remove the mask - feel vulnerable, and notice the immense power of being human.
