Geez, I’m glad I’ve been taking my own ‘medicine’ these few years. Over the many past posts, I’d been blogging about anger management and stress relief. Why? Well, mostly because a large number of people are in need of this, based on my contact with them.

Well… more importantly, I knew I needed it - personal maintenance!

Luckily for me, the test came today.

I was just sending a great message to my good friends (now I’m glad I could call them that) John DiLemme (and wife, Christie) who is a multimillionaire biz whizz, having his own success story to tell, and wishing them a wonderful thanksgiving.

Then, I receive an email from someone saying that my blog sucks big time and I ought to learn from the blog that my partner Adam Khoo has.

Well, I’m quite glad to note that after doing my own piece of research, I can literally manage my own state effectively. So, rather than leaving that piece out, I decided to let that piece through. It’s in the blog post below this one.

Thankfully, this site isn’t the measure of my capabilities, and neither is it the barometer of my self-esteem (and also because they guy who is managing the site for Adam is my student.. hehe).

Anyhow, I find that in order to shift ourselves away from anger, we need to have a real physiological change behind it.

Let me explain.

Sometimes, when we are angry, we get into a fix. It’s tough to get out of it because it’s an emotional burden. In practice, it’s tough to put our mind out of it because we lack the practice.

So, let’s practice - you can change your emotional state of anger by getting yourself into another state. One way is to be playful. Another is to be grateful, which was the purpose of thanksgiving in the first place (incidentally I learnt this from my girlfriend - yes the dating specialist - who reminded me of Thanksgiving today). Gratitude. I think I can feel gratitude because I’m in control of myself compared with many years ago. I guess being happy really helps, huh!

It’s simple for those of you who want to tag along. Shift your mental images into cartoons and watch them play. Happiness is a state - and you can control it simply through the process of observing yourself, and watching a funny idea pass you by.

You’ve felt bad enough for the longest time. Yet, it’s practice that you have had. So, now it’s time to feel good just simply for no good reason - a lesson I learnt from Richard Bandler.

Hope all of you are feeling grateful right now. It’s a powerful state to be in!
