Depression. One of the most dangerous emotions to experience, especially when times are not good for us. When the going gets tough, some people jump. It’s a sad truth, but sometimes we really need the ability and strategy to eliminate the prescient when we needed most. For instance, some of us turn to solving, groaning, and inflicting self damage. This form of depression treatment, is really known as “wallowing”.

While I appreciate that it’s not easy to get out of our emotions, it is essential for us to first of all be aware of the fact that if we don’t get out of it, we get deeper into it.

Here is a useful strategy that I thought could be helpful for those of you who are experiencing a tremendous amount of sadness.  For a start, let me state that if you know someone who is extremely depressed and on the verge of suicide, there are there’s about these and I highly recommend that you seek out professional help. This also will not apply to those who are grieving for a lossed loved one.

For those of you who just happen to be a regular person seeking out ways to eliminate  depression and perhaps learn to live with these circumstances and become tougher, this might just be useful for you.

First, I’d like you to consider the reason why you’re depressed. Seems like a pretty logical thing to do, however I’d like you to consider what that means to you. For instance, if you find that things are overwhelming in your life, that you have way too much to handle your life, and there our lot of things that you’ve done, but no results seem to have come out from what you have done, it might be your way of saying “life is unfair!”. Fairness may be a principle you live on. When things aren’t fair, you falter, for example.

Second, I like you to consider that there might be many, many things that have happened to you over the last few weeks or months .  This, might have contributed in some to the overwhelming sensations of depression that you might be feeling.  If this is the case, take some time to just dissect it a little bit so that you realize that it is not really an extremely large problem. 

Now, of course I do have strategies that can work in these areas, but then again, they assume that you are able and willing to take charge of your own self.  Sometimes, it is not possible for you to take charge of yourself simply because you are either incapacitated or perhaps lack that awareness at the point of time.  Whatever it is, blaming will not help.

So, here is my first installment of instant depression treatment.

Usually a sensation of depression comes with a whole host of other things. These include irritability, anger, perhaps even a strong sensation of frustration. It is only after these feelings died down, that the depression tends to set in. It is also likely that you don’t have a strong emotional support mechanism for yourself. So…

I want you to go into a room that is quiet. In this room, I’d like you to begin to sit down and start writing out your sensations and the reasons why you feel this way. I wanted to write it the way you feel . So what this means is, you might break a few pencils along the way. Once you’ve written this out, I’d like you to take some time to step outside of this emotion. After all, you’ve acknowledged it and it won’t go away. It is right on that piece of paper that you’ve written on.

The next simply to close your eyes and distance yourself from that emotion. Although some fleeting thoughts of the things that have swarmed your mind me come back to it, just allow yourself to tread in complete solitude. Seek out calm and peace. Sometimes, changing your breathing will help. It is once you have calmed yourself down and allowed yourself to release the sensation of sadness that you come to a place of calm.

I want you to acknowledge the things that have been bothering you.  And you need to acknowledge the reasons for these things having bothered you. 

Some people realize that they aren’t performing as well in the workplace as they ought to be. And that is why, they might feel a little inept, and perhaps due to a sense of a lack of achievement, and feel sad. If you acknowledge this, and realize that one of the reasons is because you haven’t been improving yourself, you are coming from a place of responsibility rather than blame. Don’t blame yourself. Just acknowledge there could be a better way to deal with this.

What you’re alone, you can imagine yourself stepping outside of your own body and moving backward so that the depressed you is in front of you and right now you just an observer and utilizing this position as an observer, begin to assess what is so important about this sensation of depression that you are continuing to hold onto it. The basic premise is that if there is no longer a reason for you to feel depressed, you won’t.

Feelings are indications that you need to pay attention to something happening inside of you. Many people feel sad because there’s something else behind the sadness , also known as the root cause. If I am feeling sad, it could be because I didn’t accomplish a financial goal. It could also be because someone treated me in a way that i perceived made me feel inadequate. Whatever the case, approaching it from a point of responsibility allows us to look at all the different ways in which we are actually in control of this emotion.

Once you’ve acknowledged this, you might discover that you are more counts than ever before. This is the state in which you must then make a decision. This decision, is based on a target or an outcome. Some people take sadness and implode it upon themselves. Other people take sadness and use it as feedback to push themselves forward in whatever they need to do.

Understand it first. If I just assume, I might just miscommunicate with myself. Once you’ve identified this reason why, it is easier for you to let go of the old the motion of sadness.

While you’re in this quiet silence, the mentioned that the old you is being “washed”. Let it be washed with sensations of resourcefulness. Resourcefulness includes remembering your talents, skills and other things that you have felt help you.
Just wash it away out into the open. Let it sink into the ground where you stand, and leave it there . Now once that has been done, step back into your own body and feel the sensation of that glow of resource fullness inside of your body.

Now, you should experience for yourself a lighter, brighter feeling. Now, this does not mean that you have eliminated all your problems!

It merely means that you’re more resourceful to think through for a solution, set a new goal or target, and find a strategy that will help you to accomplish what you need so that you do not have to feel sad anymore.
