Do you throw away old dreams?
Have you thrown away your old dreams?
When you were little, did you dream of being Superman or Spiderman… and then stopped living in that fascination of being a hero? When you loved someone a long time ago… but just only in your dream, did you stop feeling love for that dream? When you declared you would strive to accomplish great things because of great ideals, did you stop simply because you were disappointed?
In all of life and living our dream, old dreams get shattered. A sweet relationship turns sour; a hope is dashed; a new path is laid before us - for us. But you know what? It might sound silly, but as a child I once thought it would be so cool to fly like Superman - - but nothing beats the feeling of flying when you’re in love. I’m grateful I’ve managed to find that someone (or shall we say we found each other) who fits the bill (yay) and so much more… I’m grateful I had the chance to get challenged and push myself to limits I never thought I could handle - even though I was disappointed in the past by people - I’m grateful I can keep my head above the water and am better for it. That pressure keeps your inner strength a constant pillar of support.
There’s no certainty in the future, but there is stability from the past, if you know where to find it.
Don’t throw away your old memories and ideals. Because in all the disappointment you face in life, and the trials that come your way, they were meant to help you realize how much you should appreciate those dreams. Keep the dreams alive. Keep a ‘dream’ book. That one day, you might turn back on your dream log and start giggling like a silly little child, that it will give you hope and raise your spirits to tackle the next challenge you face in your life.

Hey Stuart! How are you doing?
It’s Steph here from the IAG camp a couple of days b4! I hope you and the rest of the team is recovering from the flu and fever as we speak.
Haha, gotta tell you that I miss everything about the camp *sniff* haihz, oh well, next time, yea?
Hm, this post here, for some reason, tugs at my heartstrings (no, I’m not sick!). Then I come to realize that what you posted here, it rings true to me. So many old dreams, so buried deep or forgotten. Dreams, nightmares and even those that seemed just plain old wack…they’re part of who we are, and they help mold us to be the person we will or want to be. Just wanna say that ur posts really are amazing.
Yea, got to go now. See you soon! (I hope) =)

Hi Steph,
Glad you made it here! We’re all back in training, and don’t get rest until the end of June, so we’ll just be hanging on. Hey! Remember to email me the list of campers. I know someone was collecting email addresses and contacts eh…

Oh I love this post so much. Because it is written so simply, yet it reminds us of something that’s sweet yet have been neglected for so long. our dreams.
I’ve had so many childhood dreams, some of them have been fulfilled (yes some by sheer luck, some with a sudden ‘audacitiness’), some of them still as dreams.
There’s always a little child inside us. Continue to let it live, and feed it once in a while so it will become happier, and lovelier! Right?
