I just went back for a Toastmasters Meeting at my usual club, Brilliant Advanced Toastmasters. It was not just weird, it was nearly close to scary. After being out of the movement for such a long time, it was difficult to get back to speaking my mind in 2 minutes!

But I figured out some things along the way, and discovered how the Toastmasters had helped me so much - it was because of the way I had studied other speakers and how they performed, good or bad, there was always something to take home with me. I discovered strategies through speeches, evaluations and reactions from the audience.

I suppose I’ll be doing more speaking at the Toastmasters, especially knowing we will be housing one very soon as well… more about it when the time comes!
