Just because you are 40+...

I received an email from a subscriber to http://internetmarketingsingapore.com and he was worried about technology being too complex. He feels that in his mid-forties, he has achieved nothing.

 

Nothing?!

 

Well, call it a bout of low self-esteem, but I think everyone has the capacity to grow, regardless of age. My dad is 65 this year, and he learns something new every day. It’s this kind of thing that keeps him going, no matter how confused he becomes!

 

What I did point out to subscribers was a very special video page that my friend Stephen Pierce put up. Everyone faces adversity. Everyone faces a sense of insignificance sometimes in the world today. But we are not just meant to be on this world to be nothing. We have talents that we have to use. Stephen calls this “optimization”.

 

Essentially, if you are good at writing, you have to build your entire business around that – writing. This relative strength is something not everyone has. You have to consider your talents and make that work for you.

 

Business is a strange thing – if you go into it without the passion and the purpose, you end up with nothing but a big fat ZERO. So, to those of you chasing after the Dream of financial freedom, don’t just do something… STAND there!

 

Because if you don’t, sometimes business becomes “busy-ness” and that’s where you have to stop and think for a while. Just because you are in your mid forties and feel you haven’t achieved much… isn’t it time to stop ruminating and start DOING something?
