Self-Reflection - A powerful skill
I’ve chatted with a past POE participant, and in my opinion, he has a very strong moral ethic and also a really spiritual individual. I also get a sense that for many people, the concept of material success has virtually faded out of the minds of some people. Why? Because they see little point in it.
To a number of people, material success is nothing more than a move backward in life, especially if they don’t know what to do with that material success. How many times have you wasted money? I know I have, and sometimes still do. But beyond money, how do we grow as individuals, as people who are seeking some form of ‘enlightenment’?
I don’t mean to be religious here – I only believe that we can be ‘good’ people. If we can learn to do that consistently every day, I trust that our lives should get better every day. Interestingly, even if our lives don’t get better, they give us signals – that some of those signals tell us more than we expect. They show us a mirror to look and reflect even more deeply into the patterns in our life, and ask us “is there something here to pay attention to? What would you need to do to have a better life?”
Reflections. That’s what I think blogging is for me. To get a piece of my mind into a written form and preserve it for the future, so that I might understand what I felt at that time, and learn about myself and my thoughts.
